If you weren't from Oregon you'd think it was night right now. Since 1pm it has looked darker than dusk outside. Rain is falling steadily, and the birds are all hunched up under the driest canopy they can find. People run between the campus buildings whilst they also leap over deep puddles and mud.
Your mind starts to play with you on days like this. You start to think dark thoughts. You start to wonder what you are doing with your life or more accurately what you arent doing with your life.
I like the dark days. I become introspective, and in my world it feels like there's little-to-no room for introspection.
So, I try to enjoy the dark, and damp weather and get a little homesick for my home, an even darker, wetter place a continent and an ocean away.
